Handling Procedures
General practices for responsible handling, documentation, and organization of laboratory research materials.
Before handling
Review the label, lot information, available COA, and the laboratory protocol. Confirm that the work area and equipment are appropriate for the intended research procedure.
Clean workflow
Use clean laboratory technique, appropriate personal protective equipment, and dedicated tools. Avoid unnecessary exposure to air, moisture, heat, or direct light.
Record Keeping
Document lot numbers, dates, storage conditions, preparation details, and observations. Good records improve repeatability and help preserve chain of custody.
Disposal
Dispose of unused material, containers, and laboratory waste according to the applicable facility procedures and local requirements.
